The Immortal Rules ~ Julie Kagawa

Plot : To survive in a ruined world, she must embrace the darkness…

Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a walled-in city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten. Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them—the vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself dies and becomes one of the monsters.

Forced to flee her city, Allie must pass for human as she joins a ragged group of pilgrims seeking a legend—a place that might have a cure for the disease that killed off most of civilization and created the rabids, the bloodthirsty creatures who threaten human and vampire alike. And soon Allie will have to decide what and who is worth dying for… again.

Enter Julie Kagawa's dark and twisted world as an unforgettable journey begins.

Review : I don't know why but Julie Kagawa is the only writer that can write scenes that actually makes me want to cry. This book is really amazing and I loved it! At first, I thought it might be kind of boring. I was never really into vampire related stories but this was amazing. I really loved it though I hated the ending but that was before I found out that there were more parts to the series.

Actually at the beginning, I thought there'd be some romance between her and Kannin. I really liked his character and I wished he was in the story more. Each and every character in this book was created really well. I don't know how she does it but Julie Kagawa is an amazing writer and I love all her books that I have read till now.

It's only a personal opinion when I say that she is one of the best authors of paranormal teenage romance. I really like her but I do know of some people who do not. This might be a vampire related story but it is nothing like Twilight and I'm glad for that because I really hate Twilight. (No offense to those who do) This book is different and amazing in ways I cannot explain and I think people who love vampire related stories should give it a try.
