Spellbound ~ Cara Lynn Shultz

Plot : What's a girl to do when meeting The One means she's cursed to die a horrible death?
Life hasn't been easy on sixteen-year-old Emma Connor, so a new start in New York may be just the change she needs. But the posh Upper East Side prep school she has to attend? Not so much. Friendly faces are few and far between, except for one that she's irresistibly drawn to— Brendan Salinger, the guy with the rock-star good looks and the richest kid in school, who might just be her very own white knight.
But even when Brendan inexplicably turns cold, Emma can't stop staring. Ever since she laid eyes on him, strange things have been happening. Streetlamps go out wherever she walks, and Emma's been having the oddest dreams: visions of herself in past lives— visions that warn her to stay away from Brendan. Or else.

Review : No amount of words can explain how much I loved this book. First off, the way it was written was really good and it was easy to read and kept me coming back for more. I couldn't put the book down and I had to practically scream at myself to put it down and study. Second, it was so funny. I loved her comments about her cousin's perfume and all the jokes and sarcastic things she said. It was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. I loved the romance part as well because I am a sucker for love stories like this one. There was good action at the end and it was explained very well. I almost cried when I thought one of the characters were going to die. I really loved Brendan's character so much. If he was real, I would so not mind being his true love and being tied to him even if it was supernaturally. I would so date him any day and risk my life to be with him. I am in love with his character. *Sigh* I wish he was real.

Anyway, this book is a must read for witch lovers and those who love romance novels with a twist.

Stolen: A letter to my captor ~ Lucy Christopher

Plot : It happened like this. I was stolen from an airport. Taken from everything I knew, everything I was used to. Taken to sand and heat, dirt and danger. And he expected me to love him.

This is my story.

A letter from nowhere.

Sixteen year old Gemma is kidnapped from Bangkok airport and taken to the Australian Outback. This wild and desolate landscape becomes almost a character in the book, so vividly is it described. Ty, her captor, is no stereotype. He is young, fit and completely gorgeous. This new life in the wilderness has been years in the planning. He loves only her, wants only her. Under the hot glare of the Australian sun, cut off from the world outside, can the force of his love make Gemma love him back?

The story takes the form of a letter, written by Gemma to Ty, reflecting on those strange and disturbing months in the outback. Months when the lines between love and obsession, and love and dependency, blur until they don't exist - almost

Review : From the time I read the synopsis of this story, I knew that I had to read it. And I was right. This book is absolutely amazing and unlike anything I have read before. The way the story is told and the things she goes through...well, it's kind of scary and Ty seems to be mentally disturbed but he still cared a lot for her. I love the way the story is written because every time I opened the book and started reading, I felt like I could feel all her emotions and I felt like I was her. And like I was in the story and not many authors can make someone feel like that. Lucy Christopher has written a beautiful book in the form of a letter. I felt so many emotions while reading this letter. I was excited to know what was next every time I turned a page but I also felt the characters fear and sadness and feeling of longing. It was scary that I could feel all that by just reading a story of someone else.

If anyone asks me to recommend a book to them, this book is it.

The Immortal Rules ~ Julie Kagawa

Plot : To survive in a ruined world, she must embrace the darkness…

Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a walled-in city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten. Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them—the vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself dies and becomes one of the monsters.

Forced to flee her city, Allie must pass for human as she joins a ragged group of pilgrims seeking a legend—a place that might have a cure for the disease that killed off most of civilization and created the rabids, the bloodthirsty creatures who threaten human and vampire alike. And soon Allie will have to decide what and who is worth dying for… again.

Enter Julie Kagawa's dark and twisted world as an unforgettable journey begins.

Review : I don't know why but Julie Kagawa is the only writer that can write scenes that actually makes me want to cry. This book is really amazing and I loved it! At first, I thought it might be kind of boring. I was never really into vampire related stories but this was amazing. I really loved it though I hated the ending but that was before I found out that there were more parts to the series.

Actually at the beginning, I thought there'd be some romance between her and Kannin. I really liked his character and I wished he was in the story more. Each and every character in this book was created really well. I don't know how she does it but Julie Kagawa is an amazing writer and I love all her books that I have read till now.

It's only a personal opinion when I say that she is one of the best authors of paranormal teenage romance. I really like her but I do know of some people who do not. This might be a vampire related story but it is nothing like Twilight and I'm glad for that because I really hate Twilight. (No offense to those who do) This book is different and amazing in ways I cannot explain and I think people who love vampire related stories should give it a try.

Slammed ~ Colleen Hoover

Plot : Following the unexpected death of her father, 18-year-old Layken is forced to be the rock for both her mother and younger brother. Outwardly, she appears resilient and tenacious, but inwardly, she's losing hope.

Enter Will Cooper: The attractive, 21-year-old new neighbor with an intriguing passion for slam poetry and a unique sense of humor. Within days of their introduction, Will and Layken form an intense emotional connection, leaving Layken with a renewed sense of hope.

Not long after an intense, heart-stopping first date, they are slammed to the core when a shocking revelation forces their new relationship to a sudden halt. Daily interactions become impossibly painful as they struggle to find a balance between the feelings that pull them together, and the secret that keeps them apart.

Review : Okay, can I say that I'm completely in love with this book? It was the opposite of what I expected (in a good way). Actually, I thought it was going to be something like beautiful disaster, a book which I love a lot but it wasn't. And even though it wasn't, I still loved it. It is completely amazing. Some people might find it dramatic but I found myself wishing every second that Will would change his mind. I also laughed when the characters laughed and found all the jokes funny. I also felt like crying when Lake was crying. The poetry made me realize a lot of things and inspired me to continue living and writing. This book means a lot to me.

Guys, if you love romance and you love poetry, this is a must read.

The Fallen ~ Aparajita Yadav

The Fallen is about a girl named Ember Taylor who lived in California but did not have any friends. Then she moved to Forks and hoping to start her life again with friends and classmates who did not think she was a freak. And she thought that it would be possible after she met Daniel and Jake but she might have gotten more than she bargained for.
Her friends are not who they seem to be.

Sucked into the world of fallen angels, she not only finds out about her friend's pasts but she finds the truth about herself.

Review - If you are a paranormal romance lover, this is the book for you. Reading the first book, I cannot wait to read the others that follow in this series. It is dark, mysterious and dangerous. The things that Ember goes through, no one would want to go through that. Well, except the fact that two hot guys are in love with her. The book is full of twists and turns that make it a page turner and impossible book to put down. It is written in a light style so that it is easy to read and get through the book. The things she finds out about her friends are mysterious and amazing but what about the truth about herself? You'll have to read it to find out. I recommend this book to those that are in love with paranormal romance, angels and amazing-to-read novels.
